VISVIM Hand-printed Free Edge Hyakunin-Isshu Shirt
One of the rarest pieces of SS’19 season, Free Edge Hyakunin-Isshu shirt is made of premium chiri-men silk typically used for Japanese kimono. The piece is crafted with the usage of Katazurizome, artisanal hand-printing technique brushing each layer of color onto the fabric. This method requires am extremely high level of work only found in some experienced craftsmen. Design pays homage to hyakkunin-isshu, a traditional Japanese card game based on an anthology of 100 poems by 100 different court noble poets. Part of Visvim SS 2019 collection, also featured on singer John Mayer in his recent shoot for GQ Magazine.
